Description
Nattokinase is a fibrinolytic (anti-clotting) enzyme extracted from Natto, a traditional Japanese food made using fermented Soya Beans. Natto has been used in Japanese culture for more than 1,000 years as both a nutritious food and as a folk remedy for heart health. Research has shown that Nattokinase supports the body in breaking up and dissolving the unhealthy coagulation of blood.

Nattokinase was discovered by a Japanese researcher Dr. Hiroyuki Sumi, after testing more than 173 compounds for natural thrombolytic compounds which could successfully dissolve blood clots. In 1980 he found Nattokinase was the most effective, able to dissolve an artificial thrombus (fibrin) in a petri dish.
