Cordyceps Sinensis, also known as “Winter Worm” or “Summer Grass”, is a rare and exotic mushroom that’s been highly valued in China as a food and herb for centuries. Wild Cordyceps grows mainly above 13,000 feet in a mountainous region of China known as the Qinghai-Tibetan Highlands. Because wild Cordyceps is rare and difficult to harvest, due to its harsh growing environment, the Cordyceps mycelia is now cultivated under environmentally controlled laboratory conditions, on a grain-based substrate. The resulting extract, is also free from pesticides, heavy metals and other contaminants.
